concept

Es como ver nubes  is a contemporary dance piece which deals about the theme of power and its nuances in the human relations.
Originated by exploring the possibilities of moving the head (the head as a driving force of the movement, as an isolated, as an abandoned part of the body, as a connection of two heads, possessing the head with the hands and etc.) the thematic of power emerged as a natural consequence of the process of creation.

As an isolated and at the same time dominating part of the body, the head is the nucleus of the control and domination with respect of the body. The images with the emotion and symbolic content which are related with the dualities control-chaos, rationality-primitiveness, and especially the relation control-submission emerged from the guidelines that were used in the investigation process.

Es como ver nubes reveals the marvelous power of dance abstraction which makes the communication beyond the head effective.

Es como ver nubes is an intention to bring to the scene the childlike practice of seeing figures and forms by watching clouds. The capacity which seems that we are gradually loosing as our head/self-control is getting stronger, bigger and more dominant.

synopsis

Bodies without surface. Figures, forms, shapes in the space. Collect them. Hunt and domesticate them.
